Black Chalk Wine is situated in the heart of the picturesque Test Valley. We are part of a working 1000-acre farm, located in the small hamlet of Cottonworth. We have great access links for those driving, and our location is perfect for day trips from London by train.
Journeys by car are simple - we are close to many major roads and motorways.
From the west, the A303 will bring you to Andover, our nearest town. Visitors from the south will also use the M3 via the M27. From the Midlands and the north, both the M4 and M40 join the A34, which brings you very close to the vineyard.
From central London, Black Chalk Wine is just 1 hour 30 minutes by car with good access routes along the M3 and A303.
Black Chalk Wine is just 1 hour from Waterloo by train so makes the perfect day trip from London if you want to get out of the city and into the countryside. The nearest train stations are Andover and Winchester, Andover being the nearest. If you are interested in a tour & tasting then be sure to book beforehand to avoid disappointment.
The train takes approximately 1 hour from London. Andover train station is 5 miles from the vineyard & winery followed by a 10 minute drive by taxi. We suggest you book your taxi in advance.

For accommodation, you will find great options in Andover or Stockbridge, both 10 minutes by car. A little further is the historic city of Winchester, which is approximately 20 minutes by car.

The treehouses are situated close to our vineyard. We offer an exclusive treehouse winetasting experience sat amongst the trees on your treehouse terrace. Your own private guide will explain the winemaking process, followed by a tutored tasting of our range of award winning wines finished with a grazing platter of locally-sourced meats and cheeses.
